Our YW Girl's Camp theme for this year goes nicely with our Stake theme as well as the mutual theme. Our stake theme is "Let your light so shine" with focus on the beattitudes in 3 Nephi 11. The mutual theme is the 13th article of faith talking about virtuous living. Our camp theme is:
SHINE THE LIGHT. 3 Nephi 18:24 "Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up that which ye have seen me do..."
Each day we focus on something different...
-Tuesday will be Choose the Light: Obedience in all things (commandments, prophets, parents, laws) will help us to be strong and safe.
-Wednesday will be Live the Light: Through virtuous living it will help up us make and keep sacred covenants and receive the ordinances of the Temple. The 13th article of faith is good to follow.
-Thursday is Know the Light: Building a relationship with our Savior will help us through rough times. We need to know that He will always be there for us.
-Friday is Share the Light: Once we choose, live and know we will be able to share it with those around us and SHINE THE LIGHT unto the world.
I am very excited about this year. I believe that once you have a relationship with our Savior that you will never deny you will find peace and happiness in all things.
We go to camp August 1-6. It will come upon us very fast. Thank goodness we have such a great bunch of ladies to help bring it all together. If anyone has any ideas about LIGHT and how we can pull it into our activities it would be great if you can share some of it yourself. :)

I like that wordle. I think you can do a ton with light. It would be fun because you're there when it's dark so you could do an object lesson with a flashlight. President Hinckley told a story about a train headlight and faith. We have faith that the light will go before us even though we can only see a limited amount along the way.
