On Memorial day this year we were invited to go with Rob and Christine Keller to their cabin up in Pittsburg, NH about 5 miles from the Canadian border. We drove up on Saturday and stayed over until Monday. It was a nice relaxing weekend. We were able to stop at these beautiful falls along the way.
The kids had fun climbing them and giving Kevin and I heart attacks.
They were so beautiful and the weather turned out to be so perfect. It was supposed to rain and it held off .
Zack, Jake and Mark all were put to work hauling wood. They ended up playing really well together. Even with the football injury in the woods Zack was able to have a good time. He got a big bruise on his back.
It was an A-frame cabin that had running water that came from the lake (not drinkable). The lights were powered by gas lines. It was so great to have it feel like camping and be able to use a stove and oven. There was a loft where the kids slept and 2 rooms on the main level. I would love to have something like this one day.
We played games and the cabin was right on the lake (you can kind of see the water through the window). Good times. One of the days we took a ride up closer towards Canada and drove through a place called Moose Alley. We were able to spot a couple of moose. They are huge and the kids loved seeing them. We stopped at Moose Alley Cones and got some great ice cream. Very fun.
Kevin and Rob took Zack and the other 2 boys fishing one morning. They got on their bikes and rode about a mile. Then had to hike into this little lake that had good fish.
They were able to catch one fish, but threw it back. It was just nice to be able to go out there together. I am so glad that Kevin and Zack can have father-son bonding moments.

On our way home we were able to stop by one of our favorite camping places "Living Waters" and buy some fudge. It is the best homemade fudge I have ever tasted. They has cookies and cream, Pralines and cream, peanut butter and chocolate and mint chocolate. I was in heaven.

What a fun trip! Those pictures are amazing! I miss NH! When you move back to Utah, we need to go on a trip together! It would be SO MUCH fun!
You seem to always have these great connections Kelly! You don't need your own place. It sounded like such a nice weekend.
Our favorite thing to do with our family is camp, hike and fish. My favorite memories growing up were doing the same thing. It makes me smile to know your family is making those same memories bonding with nature - congrats on a great vacation!
