Absolutely love the granite

I have wanted to update the kitchen the whole time we have lived out here in NH. We just always thought...we will not be here long enough to enjoy it so we have never even thought about it until now. Now that we are stying in NH for a longer time we decided to help beautify the kitchen and help it resale when the time comes. We will update the appliances to stainless steel a little at a time. This is a very expensive process.

We are doing a major transformation to our kitchen. The countertops are being replaced in my kitchen. The white lamanent is being replaced with granite.We needed to remove the counters, sink and stove ourselves and then they came and made a template. We got to go see the slabs at the warehouse and place the template where we wanted it cut. They cut it out and then came and installed it. We also got a new gas stove. It is beautiful. I am now going to paint the walls a light gold and Kevin gets to do a back splash (he is so excited). Here is a picture of the one that I want it to be like. This is what will be right behind the stove and then around the rest it will be straight (not diamond like) and then it will have the rustic tiles throughout it with the rustic border through the middle. We will see how it turns out. I will post a picture when it is all complete.
